CELLS
We're most proud of our 20 former prison cells. Over 80 artists paricipated in their creative renewal and today each cell is completely unique and a priceless work of art.
ROOMS
The multi-bed comfortable rooms have been touched up with mosaics, artistical and architectural features. Each room has its own shower bathroom.
DORMS
The small dorm sleeps up to 7 people, the big dorm up to 12. Both have a shower bathroom.
WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY ROOM
The wheelchair friendly room on the ground floor has a specially adjusted bathroom and accommodates up to two phisically challenged and one accompanying person. It can also be used as a private room.
SOLITARY CONFINEMENT
POINT OF PEACE
One of the former prison cells was converted into a place for prayer, meditation and contemplation. In the six niches on the walls, the five major world religions (Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism) have their altars and the sixth niche was left empty for all other religions and beliefs of the world. The Point of peace was officially blessed by the highest religious representatives of the before metioned religions in Slovenia.
USEFUL TIPS
Reception is open 24/7, there is no curfew and no lockout.
Check-in
- Check-in starts at 3 pm.
- If you come earlier than that, you can do the check-in burocracy and payment procedure and leave your luggage with us, but the rooms are available at 3pm.
Paying for your stay
You must pay for your stay at check-in.
We accept cash, Visa, Maestro and Mastercard.
Deposit
We also require a 10€ deposit for
· keys, sheets and towels,
· respecting house rules and
· checking out on before 11am od the day of your departure.

Check-out
Check out is by 11 am. Bring your hostel check-in card, keys, sheets and towels with you.
If you don’t check out until 11 am, your deposit will not be returned.
House rules, the most important stuff to remember
- No sleeping bags. We provide free, clean sheets and towels for you.
- No pets, drugs, guns.
- Quiet hours are from 11 pm to 7 am, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays 1 am to 7 am.
- Be on time for check-out or you might lose your deposit.
- Respect other guests.
- No smoking inside the hostel. Slovenian public spaces are all non-smoking!
- Alcohol consumption is allowed only on the ground floor in the bar area.
