Hostel Celica is managed by the public institute Ljubljana Castle, founded by the City of Ljubljana at the end of December 2010 with the aim of organising and implementing cultural, artistic and tourist products in the area of the Ljubljana Castle and the Castle Hill.
In early 2018, the City of Ljubljana entrusted the Ljubljana Castle with the management of Hostel Celica. After thorough renovation, Hostel Celica reopened its doors to travellers from all over the world on 1 July 2018.
The Ljubljana Castle thus took over the management of this unique hostel from the Šouhostel Institute, which had managed the hostel since its beginnings in 2003, when the first guests stayed in it.
