Alja Horvat is a 25-year-old illustrator and graphic designer from Maribor. She is the recipient of the Elle Style Award 2019 in the Young Talent category and a winner of the Forbes list “30 under 30” in the Art & Culture category.

She studied at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering in Ljubljana, and in 2018 design grew from a hobby into a business. Most of her works are made digitally, but she also loves to create in a more traditional way, i.e., with oils.

Alja Horvat has collaborated with companies such as Barcaffe, Disney, Renault, Vichy, Urban Outfitters, ban.do, Anthropologie and FILA, among others. Her goal is to evoke nostalgia with her designs, thus combining a love of the 1960s and 1970s with a passion for pattern design.
