Celica rocks, dances, moves, and grooves at the hottest concert events in town – for the third year in a row! Once again, we will spend Summer Thursdays in our majestic Summer Garden in the company of some even more majestic bands! On the first Thursday of August, we’ll vibe with the organic sounds of Bregove Dere and dance the night away with the band Plesni.

The beginnings of Bregove dere date back to 2018 when ideas started accumulating, initially as a solo project of Matjaž, who diverged from his then-main band Meduzalem. The basic idea was a concept of acoustic and more organic music with a foundation of classical guitar, drums, bass, and percussion. Soon after, drummer Robi, who is very active in Zlatko Kaučič’s Kombo C, joined. As a duo, they created the foundations for at least five longer compositions. Over time, Matej joined them on electric guitar, adding harmonic and sonic diversity. After a longer search, they invited bassist Timi, who has been playing with Robi in joint bands for a long time. As a quartet, they began to intensely prepare songs for their debut and, of course, live performances. From the idea of a guest musician, Jure on violin also joined them. Many years ago, Jure and Matjaž created in the band Suisound and in the original lineup of Meduzalem. Currently, Jure is active in the free duo Interrupted System Call. In its current lineup, the music of Bregove Dere is finally gaining the organic form of a creature that is still awakening, taking its time and space to breathe.

The interplay of three figures moving in their own fields while simultaneously creating grandiose images. The drum gives the music of Plesni an uncompromising fast forward, the guitar colors the compositions in a dance shade, and the bass directs the entire composition in a direction where all instruments merge into a whole. Plesni are a blend of rhythm and melody, where each player searches for their field in creating the collective. In terms of music genres, they could be classified as the experimental art rock band. Or simply Plesni.
