Celica rocks, dances, moves and grooves at the hottest concert events in town; this Thursday in the company of ŠKM Banda & Iztok Koren!

ŠKM Banda (full name Štefan Kovač Marko banda) is a four-member Slovenian music group from Beltinci, consisting of guitarist Mitja Sušec and Iztok Koren, bassist Jernej Koren and drummer Jernej Sobočan. Named after the partisan and national hero Štefan Kovač - Marko, they create music that could be described as progressive rock with elements of jazz and noise rock. 

They have released five studio albums. The latest is the album entitled nouvi sad, released in January 2019, which will be presented at Hostel Celica Summer Garden along with their newest singles.

The debut release by Slovenian musical polymath Iztok Koren, best known for his work in avant-folk outfits Širom, Škm banda and Hexenbrutal. Made in the heat of 2020’s lockdown, Iztok transmutes the intensity of the period into 6 pieces that senstively unfurl over time. With various stringed instruments and field recordings in hand, he weaves his interests in Slovenian mysticism, ancient Chinese divination texts, his family and his new found love of nature, revealing an intimate snapshot of life up-close.
