“When ‘time stopped’, I was given time to paint and be creative.”

The words of painter Eduardo Oliveira Bentub, who was born in Cape Verde but moved to Slovenia almost ten years ago and has been part of the Hostel Celica team for several years, say a great deal about the present exhibition. Eduardo Bentub was very creative during the time when social life in Slovenia “stopped” for a couple of months. The collection of paintings he created can be viewed in the present exhibition. His creativity during this time is also confirmed by the award he received for the quality of artworks by artists from abroad at the 28th International Art Symposium in Sinji Vrh above Ajdovščina. The painter finds inspiration in people and their everyday habits and life, especially in his native Cape Verde. He uses a mixed technique for his paintings.
