French-German Cell

Petra Marguč

Designed by a German-born artist based in France, the cell is predominantly white and is imbued with a feminine inspiration. It is very bright and pleasant to stay in. The dark ceiling represents the night sky, while the door handles on the wall symbolise longing for freedom, for release from prison. The table in the cell is made from a piece of old iron that was found in Metelkova during the renovation.
